SHORT SHARP MARKET ROUND UP..

The talk this week, Is a wall of US Beef going to hit the markets over the coming months warning prices may fall, but I guess time will tell if it has any major effect or not. Beef schedules are back again this week around 5 - 10 cents overall. NI lamb lifted again this week to $6.85, and SI lamb also lifted at $6.65 this week.

In the Dairy sector, this weeks GDT auction was down 0.4% overall. With most calving half way now, calf prices have eased over the last few days, with Friesian bulls trading around $120 - $180 depending on quality. Beef x calves are good buying, with most selling around $150 - $300 depending on breeds and quality.

In the Beef & Sheep sector, Fries R2 bulls are fetching $2.50 - $3.10kgLW, with R1 Fries bulls trading around $3.20 - $3.60kgLW. Scanned inlamb ewes are moving at around $120 - $160, and ewes with LAF around $60 - $90.
