SHORT SHARP MARKET ROUND UP..
Beef schedules overall are steady this week. NI lamb has lifted to $7.15, and SI lamb is steady at $7.00 this week.
In the Dairy sector, With mating just around the corner, make sure you have plenty of bull power for your herds & heifers, as bulls are cheap insurance against high MT rates. We still have plenty of bulls available, just check the drafting gate to see whats available. If you are looking for lines of weaner heifers, then we have a few coming to the market now, so set up your saved searches or keep an eye on the drafting gate for new listings.
In the Beef & Sheep sector,
Store cattle prices overall remain steady this week, however large numbers of 1yr Friesian bulls seem to be hitting the market at present. This market will be one to watch over the coming weeks along with the 100kg Friesian bulls, as these also start flowing in large numbers from mid October. Ewes with LAF are trading around $80 - $100, with some top lines selling over the $100 mark. The last of the old season store lambs are trading around $3.50 - $3.80kgLW.
