SHORT SHARP MARKET ROUND UP..
How quick the weather has changed, now most of us are needing rain with the sun and wind drying many parts out at present. Beef schedules are steady in the North, with South schedules lifting 5 - 10 cents. NI & SI Lamb schedules are both steady this week.
In the Dairy sector, Herd and heifer enquiry are limited at present, with plenty of farms on the market we may see more action heading into the new year once some farm sales are confirmed. Weaner heifers are in demand selling for around $500 - $600 for immediate delivery.
In the Beef & Sheep sector, Store cattle prices are firm this last week over all classes. 100kg Friesian bulls are fetching around $500 - $540. Store lambs are hitting the market in large numbers now, with the market easing to around $3 - 3.20kgLW, or $80 - $100/hd.
