Beef schedules are steady in the South, with Bull & Cow up 10 cents in the North. NI lamb has lifted to $7.45, with SI lamb also lifted to $7.20. On the dairy front, GDT auction was up 1.9% overall this week. A few on farm herd auctions are taking place, with a few buyers looking to top up herds for the coming season. Prices range depending on quality, but good quality cows are still fetching good money.
On the beef & sheep front, with store lamb numbers falling away, and demand still strong, most are fetching $3.60 - $3.80kgLW. Store cattle remain steady on last week, with R2 Friesian bulls trading around $2.60kgLW. R2 Steers are fetching $2.80 - $3kgLW. Run weaners are finding new homes at around $3.70 - $3.80kgLW, with heifers fetching $3.20 - $3.30kgLW.
