Dairy cattle markets remain quiet, as farmers settle in for the coming new season. Store cattle markets still remain flat, as we head into winter. R1 Friesian bulls are around $3.40 - $3.50kgLW, with R2 bulls trading at $2.60 - $2.70kgLW. R2 Steers are steady at around $3kgLW, with heifers around $2.60 - $2.80kgLW. R1 steers are making $3.70 - $3.80, with heifers around $3.20 - $3.30kgLW. Store lambs have eased to around the $3.60 - $3.80 level this week. Inlamb ewes are selling well, with most fetching $170 - $190. Stud bull sales are going well overall, with an Angus bull fetching $62,000 in the North Island, and a Hereford Bull sold for $60,000 in the South Island this week.
