A mixed bag of weather for most, but some areas still look to have good grass cover at present. Beef schedules remain steady overall this week, with NI & SI Lamb having a lift of 5 cents. Another flat result for this weeks GDT auction, with the price index down 1.2%. With calving only a month away now, we are hearing a lot of speculation around the calf rearing season ahead. From what we can see, calf rearing will continue as normal for most, with areas that are currently M bovis free becoming the hot spots for calf supply this season. Other areas will need to prove their herds are M Bovis free, to help ensure the rearers buying their calves. As we head into this season, we will keep you posted with more details around this years market. Store cattle market remain steady, with prices on par with last week. Store lambs are fetching around $3.50 - $3.80kgLW. Remember if you list your Stud Bulls or On-Farm sale during the bull selling season, you will receive FREE Facebook video promotion for your bulls.
