Beef schedules in the North Island are all up 5 - 15 cents, with the South Island steady overall. NI lamb is at $8.45, with SI lamb at $8.25. On the dairy front, dairy herds are already selling on forward contract for June 2019 delivery, with around $2200 the money at present. 1yr Friesian heifers are fetching around $1000 - $1200 for local & export orders. Feeder calves are selling similar to last week, with Beef calves in more demand now then Friesians. On the beef & sheep front, store cattle prices remain steady, with most waiting for some warm dry spring days to kick in, as some areas are pretty wet. Aut born Friesian bulls are trading around $600, with W/H bulls around $650 - $700. 100kg Spring weaner contracts are around $450 in South Island, and around $550 in the North Island. With new season lambs not far away, the store lambs are near the end, with most fetching around $4 - $4.50kgLW. Ewes with LAF are trading around $100 - $120 all counted.
