Beef schedules overall are back another 5 -10 cents this week. NI lamb is steady at $8.45, with SI lamb back 10 cents to $8.15. On the dairy front, service bull sales are strong, with homebred bulls in big demand this year due to M-Bovis. Jersey 1yr bulls are fetching $1200 - $1700, with 2yr bulls around $1200 - $2000. Hereford 1yr & 2yr bulls are $2000 - $4000 depending on breeding and quality, with Angus 1yr & 2yr bulls also fetching from $2000 - $4000 depending on quality. Friesian 2yr bulls are around $1600 - $2000. On the beef & sheep front, Friesian 1yr bulls are trading around the $3 mark for 300kg + ,with bulls around 200 - 250kg fetching $3.30 - $3.50kgLW. 2yr Friesian bulls are around $3 - $3.10kgLW. 1yr steers are trading around $3.60 - $4kgLW, with heifers around $3.20 - $3.50kgLW. There are good numbers of Ewes with LAF trading around $90 - $120 all counted.
