Well there's still no stopping the grass growing with a mix of rain and warm days. Beef schedules overall are steady this week. NI lamb is down to $7.15, with SI lamb at $7.10. On the dairy front, dairy herds are being signed up for 1st June delivery with prices depending on quality. Most are around $1500 - $1800. Incalf heifers are around $1400 - $1600 and R1 heifers are around $600 - $800 depending on quality and delivery dates. On the beef and sheep front, store cattle markets remain strong with Friesian weaner bulls trading around $480 - $520. R2 Friesian bulls are fetching $2.70 - $3kgLW. R2 Steers are around $3.40 - $3.60kgLW with heifers around $2.90 - $3.20kgLW. Store lambs are still a popular option at the moment with most fetching $3.50 - $3.90kgLW.
