High temperatures and winds are starting to dry out some areas now. Beef schedules are steady again this week, with talk it could ease around 10 cents in the coming weeks. NI lamb is steady at $7.10, with SI lamb down at $6.90. On the dairy front, dairy herd and heifers are slowly moving, with limited demand from both NI & SI buyers at present. R1 dairy heifers are trading around $600 - $800 depending on quality and delivery dates. On the beef & sheep front, store cattle markets are easing, with R2 Friesian bulls trading around $2.60 - $2.90kgLW. R2 steers are fetching $3 - $3.40kgLW, with R2 Heifers around $3 - $3.10kgLW. Store lambs have eased, with most trading at $3.40 - $3.60kgLW. Demand for ewes is easing, with most fetching $150 - $200. Some capital two tooth lines are making up to $280.
