Beef schedules are overall steady this week, with most plants reported to be full, or near full at present. NI lamb is at $7.20, with SI lamb is at $6.90. On the dairy front, this weeks GDT auction was up 6.7% overall, with WMP up 8.4%. Finally some good news for farmers, as these markets have been battling over the past few months. Will be interesting over the coming months, as some dairy areas are starting to dry out very quick, so production is likely to fall, helping to boost auction results. On the beef & sheep front, overall store cattle markets are steady, with enough buyers out there cleaning up what cattle is coming to the market. Store lamb prices are easing due to dry conditions, with most trading around $3.20 - $3.40kgLW.
Have a great week from the MLR team.
