Beef schedules are back 5 - 10 cents overall this week, space is tight with cull cows coming out in large numbers at present. NI lamb is steady at $7.20, with SI lamb is at $6.85. On the dairy front, dairy herds are still coming on to the market, with most forward contracts around $1600 - $1800 depending on quality. Incalf heifers are around the $1600 mark and R1 hfrs are from $600 - $800 depending on delivery dates. On the beef & sheep front, store cattle prices have eased with R2 Friesian bulls trading around $2.60 - $2.70kgLW, R2 Steers are fetching $3.10 - $3.40kgLW with R2 heifers around $2.80 - $2.90kgLW. Demand for weaners has also eased with prices ranging alot depending on weights and quality. Store lambs are fetching $3.10 - $3.30 with demand easing again this week. Breeding ewes are trading around $150 - $200.
