Beef schedules overall this week have seen a lift of 5 - 10 cents. NI lamb is steady up at $7.20, with SI lamb up at $6.75. On the dairy front, most herd sales for 1st June delivery are around $1600 - $1700, with the top end herds fetching around $1800 - $1950. Incalf heifers for 1st May delivery are proving harder to find new homes, with limited sales around the $1400 - $1600 level, with top lines around $1700. R1 heifers have been selling mainly for immediate delivery, with most fetching $550 - $800 depending on breeds and figures. On the beef & sheep front, store cattle markets remain hard work, with limited buyers at present. R1 Friesian bulls are around $3.50 - $3.60kgLW, with R2 Friesian bulls fetching $2.60 - $2.70kgLW. R2 Steers are around the $3 mark, with heifers around $2.70kgLW. R1 steers are around $3.60 - $4kgLW, with heifers around $2.70 - $3.10kgLW. Large numbers of store lambs are still hitting the market, with most fetching around $3.40 - $3.50kgLW.
