Beef schedules remain firm overall this week. NI lamb is at $7.45, with SI lamb at $7.20. On the dairy front, the GDT auction was down 1.2%, with WMP down 2.1%. Fonterra's new milk price range for next season is $6.25 - $7.25/milk solid. Cashflow at the start of the season will be tight, due to low advance of only $3.80/milk solid. Overall though, next season is looking good with demand for product looking strong. On the beef & sheep front, store cattle markets remain unchanged, with demand limited for most classes of cattle. Captial beef herds are selling from $1200 - $1500, depending on breed and quality. Store lambs are fetching $3.50 - $3.70kgLW. Scanned inlamb ewes are fetching $160 - $180, depending on quality.
Have a great week from the MLR
