Beef schedules in the NI & SI are steady overall this week. NI lamb has lifted 10 cents, with SI lamb also up 10 cents. On the dairy front, the GDT auction was down 0.4% overall, with WMP down 0.8%. With calving well over half way now, most calves hitting the ground are beef now, with demand mixed depending on regions. Overall though, good beef x bulls are making $150 - $250, with good beef x heifers around $100 - $150. On the beef & sheep front, store cattle markets remain steady, with Friesian 2yr bulls fetching $3.05 - $3.10kgLW, and 1yr bulls selling around $3 - $3.15kgLW. 2yr steers are moving at $3.20 - $3.30kgLW, with heifers around $3 - $3.10kgLW. 1yr Steers are fetching $3.70 - $4kgLW, with heifers around $3.20 - $3.30kgLW. Store lambs are making around $3.90 - $4kgLW, with ewes with lambs at foot fetching $100 - $120 all counted.
