Beef schedules are steady overall this week. NI lamb is steady at $8.60, with SI lamb up 10 cents to $8.45. On the dairy front, the GDT auction was up 2% overall with WMP up 1.9% at US$3,133/MT. With calving now near the end good numbers of WH calves are hitting the market with good demand from rearers. Most WH bulls are fetching from $150 - $250 with some older 2 - 3 week old calves up to $300. WH heifers are a mixed bag with some selling well up to $150 and others only around $50. Angus bulls are also selling well at around $200 with heifers around $80 - $100. On the beef and sheep front, store markets still remain steady on last week with no changes much hear till we see the grass market kick in. Store lambs are steady around $4 - $4.20kgLW. There is still good demand for ewes with lambs at foot, with most fetching $100 - $120 all counted.
