On the dairy front, good news from Fonterra with the payout now $7.30 for the current season. Markets around the world remain strong for dairy products now and in the short term, with long term hard to predict these days. On the beef & sheep front, store cattle markets are steady to easing, with some areas drying out after some pretty hot days over the last couple of weeks. This weekends rain for some areas will freshen things up going forward. R2 Friesian bulls are trading around $3 - $3.20kgLW, with R2 steers fetching $3.50 - $3.80kgLW. 100kg Friesian wnr bulls are trading around $450 - $500, depending on quality. 110 - 130kg Friesian bulls are around $520 - $550. WH bulls are trading at $600 - $700, and heifers around $450 - $550 depending on weights and quality. Demand for store lambs is easing due to the dry conditions in some areas, with most trading around $3.60 - $4.00kgLW
