MARKET ROUND UP FROM THE FIELD...

With more rain this week it's been great for areas like the Manawatu and Taranaki to green up. Schedules have taken a hit this week with most back 10 -15 cents as a few factors all come into play at the moment. It looks like the next few weeks will see more easing in all schedules. 

DAIRY SECTOR

It looks set to be a busy April and May for dairy clearing sales as some farmers take this option to selling their herds and heifers. Once some of these kick off we will do our best to report on how the market is going at these sales.

BEEF & SHEEP SECTOR

With the rain helping grass growth the store lamb market has seen a lift to around $2.20kgLW. All classes of store cattle are still in good demand with levels similar to last week for most classes.
