MARKET ROUND UP FROM THE FIELD... Looks like we are in for a wet week for most so hopefully the east coast get their share. Schedules have come back this week due to meat processors closing some plants for maintenance and the NZ dollar on a climb at present. DAIRY SECTORCull cow numbers are only reducing now after what has being a strong flow for many months. The next few months will have a slower flow as there is not much more culling left for farmers to do as most the low producing cows have being culled this season. With calving just around the corner there is plenty of demand for Friesian bull calves already so list you calves on MLR today to find a buyer to take your calves this season. BEEF & SHEEP SECTORStore cattle numbers have eased up at present with R2 steers and heifers trading at around $2.80 - $2.90kgLW. 100kg + autumn Friesian bulls are fetching around $550 - $600.
