SHORT SHARP MARKET ROUND UP...

The dairy industry rollercoaster keeps everyone guessing whats next, with two consective GDT auctions back and this weeks auction up by 1.7% overall.  Schedules are up in the North Island around 10 - 20 cents across the board, with the South Island steady this week. Store lambs are firm, with most good lambs fetching around the $100 mark. Plenty of demand for store cattle with Friesian R2 bulls trading at $2.80 - $2.90kgLW. R2 Beef Steers and heifers are fetching around $3kgLW mark or better. Plenty of demand for Friesian & Beef X autumn calves, with most trading from $200 - $350 depending on quality.
